Hello! I am Liz McRae, an Associate Attorney specializing in special needs estate planning. With a background in special education, I bring a unique perspective and deep understanding of the complexities involved in planning for families with special needs.

I am deeply passionate about empowering and educating my clients, and I am fully committed to helping families protect their loved ones’ futures. I take pride in guiding families through the estate planning process with clarity and compassion, ensuring they fully understand their options and feel confident in their decisions.

Outside of my legal practice, I enjoy swimming, boxing, and spending time at the beach in Rhode Island, where my family lives. I am a proud resident of Cambridge where I live with my spouse and 13-year-old son and remain deeply connected to the special needs community, dedicated to ongoing education and advocacy in this field.

Banessa Llombart is an Associate Attorney at Law Mom, specializing in estate planning law. Banessa is dedicated to helping individuals and families protect their assets and honor their wishes, offering compassionate legal guidance that provides peace of mind. She is passionate about empowering clients through education, ensuring they make informed decisions about their future.

Fluent in Spanish, Banessa is committed to serving the Latin community by providing tailored legal solutions to Spanish-speaking families, helping bridge gaps in legal access and ensuring all clients receive the support they deserve.

Banessa lives in Pembroke and enjoys spending time with her husband, twin toddlers, and 20-year-old daughter. She also loves traveling and values her time with family.

Currently, Banessa assists clients with wills and trusts, striving to protect legacies and create lasting impact for future generations.

After graduating from Nichols College, Mel was eager to work within a company that genuinely cares about its clients and employees. Mel studied General Business with a focus on finance, accounting, and management, which taught her that many people don’t understand how their money could work for them. She felt that the same applied to Estate Planning and was excited to be a part of a team that values education and understanding on this overwhelming topic.

When Mel is not at the office, she is most likely at the rink, either coaching ice hockey to youth age groups or getting back on the ice herself.

Alyssa graduated with a bachelors in Medical Radiation Sciences from the University of Vermont in May of 2023. She left a clinical concentration within her major to pursue a concentration in her passion, technical and scientific writing. In her last semester, Alyssa completed an internship at the Community Health Centers of Burlington, an independent study in technical and medical writing, and was a teaching assistant for Introduction to Scientific Writing. Alyssa’s time at the Community Health Centers of Burlington was spent researching for and writing new standard of care procedure documents for the facilities labs. As a law clerk at LawMom®, Alyssa proofs documents before printing and tabbing them as well as attending and participating in client signings. Alyssa enjoys being able to utilize her detail-oriented organizational skills in her role at Law Mom®. Alyssa loves the team she works with here at Law Mom® and all that they are teaching her about estate planning. In her free time, Alyssa enjoys reading science fiction, hanging out with her dogs, Luca and Lila, her cat, Ceelo, and visiting friends.         

Roseann joins Law Mom after an extensive career as Vice President of Operations and Human Resources within the logistics industry, as well as co-founding two successful companies. Her expertise centers on delivering exceptional customer service and client management, alongside team and process development, with a strong emphasis on technology and security. Roseann is dedicated to creating extraordinary experiences for all.

Transitioning to Law Mom was a natural progression for Roseann, given the firm’s commitment to prioritizing client needs in critical matters.

Outside of her professional life, Roseann embraces the role of “momager” to her two sweet and talented children, both of whom excel in music and soccer. She frequently travels to Nashville to attend her daughters’ performances at college and around the city, while also supporting her son at local performances and soccer games. Furthermore, she is a passionate advocate for animal rescue and relishes the opportunity to travel whenever possible.

Astin graduated with a bachelors in Interpersonal Communication from the University of Missouri in May of 2020. In her final year she was able to complete an independent research study investigating how media trends affect divorce rates across the United States. During her time at the University of Missouri, Astin continued her lifelong passion for figure skating as the vice president of the synchronized figure skating team. After graduation, she took a year off in preparation to pursue a legal education. In May of 2024, Astin received a Juris Doctorate from New England School of law | Boston. It was during her time in law school that Astin found her passion for Estate planning and Intellectual Property Law. She received a certificate in Intellectual Property Law and maintained multiple semesters on the Dean’s List.

With over five years of legal experience, Ryhan Puopolo brings her expertise and criminal justice degree from Bridgewater State University to her role as a Deeds Clerk. She is dedicated to providing precise and attentive support to clients.

Originally from Braintree and now living in Norwell, Ryhan enjoys playing tennis, running, and cheering on her four children at their soccer and baseball/softball games. Her dedication to both her work and family life makes her an invaluable part of our team.

Luba was born in Ukraine (then a part of the former Soviet Union) and immigrated to the Boston area at the age of 8. Luba grew up in Newton MA and graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in Computer Information Science.  Luba also received an MBA with a concentration in IT from UMASS Boston.  Luba spent 15 years working in Corporate IT before she stepped back from Corporate IT to spend more time with her two girls.  Since then, she has been working with various small businesses and non profits in the south shore to manage their social media marketing as well as doing Freelance IT consulting work. Luba is really excited to join the Law Mom® family!

Thandekile Plaatje, hailing from sunny South Africa, is a skilled legal professional with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of the Western Cape. Driven by a passion for justice and community empowerment, Thandekile’s legal journey has been defined by her dedication to making a meaningful impact.

With experience as a Legal Advisor and Mediator, she has honed her expertise in ensuring compliance with legal standards and fostering resolutions. Her commitment to community engagement is evident in her active participation in various initiatives.

Thandekile brings her vibrant personality, meticulous attention to detail, and unwavering dedication to professional excellence to her role as a Legal Assistant on the Law Mom team.

Sindy Flores brings over 17 years of experience in the legal field, with expertise spanning nonprofit, corporate, and immigration law. She specializes in compliance, contract negotiation, and policy development, offering a wealth of knowledge and skills to her clients. Sindy’s motivation to pursue law has always been rooted in a desire to help others resolve their legal challenges, providing them with peace of mind and resolution.

Her dedication to advocating for those in need and upholding the principles of justice, integrity, and confidentiality has defined her career. Sindy finds deep personal fulfillment in making a meaningful impact on her clients’ lives and contributing to social progress.
